Building Permit Procedures
To be able to apply the quality standards and approved specifications that ensure the safety of buildings and structures, we, at Dubai Municipality’s Building Control and Building Permits Department, have laid down a series of procedures and steps for issuing Building Permits and Completion Certificates. The procedures also cover technical inspections of under-construction sites in Dubai and submitting soil test results and topographic maps of industrial areas. We have also set the requirements and procedures to certify and register design and building contractors.
There are several steps and procedures. They include:
Building Permits Procedures:
- Residential villas (Private and Investment)

- Multi-storey buildings and public buildings
Periodic Technical Inspection Forms for Under-Construction Sites:
- Steel Reinforcement Register for Under-Construction Site
- Block Register for Under-Construction Site
- Heat Insulation Register for Under-Construction Site
- Record of Employees Training on Applying Occupational Health and Safety Requirements. (Available in Arabic only)
