Technical Guidelines

Since environmental legislation has been closely linked to our success in protecting environmental sectors and their growth, as well as promoting the concept of sustainable development in Dubai, we, at Dubai Municipality’s Environment Department, devote a lot of effort to draft and approve binding environmental guidelines and standards relating to environment protection and preserving natural resources in the Emirate and managing waterway and coastal areas. Technical Guidelines are considered among the most important pillars of environmental legislation, as they represent environmental requirements and standards approved by the Environment Department. These guidelines must be observed, followed and complied with by all concerned entities authorities, whether in the industrial and service sectors or in developmental projects and activities in the Emirate and various areas of environmental projects.

Technical Guidelines vary according to the Environment Department Sections. They include:

Coastal Environment Section:
