Project Objective:
Establish a market in Bur Dubai area, in the most active areas of Dubai’s core (The big market area) which is close to al Fahidi museum in Bur Dubai. It’s a trading entertaining complex that forms a new standard of sustainability. The market approaches the best shopping centers in the Emirate despite of being a traditional market, composed of different shops, and specialized fabric shops.
Project Elements:
The market is composed of a basement that includes 300 parking to serve the visitors, and renters. The ground and first floor contain shops, restaurants, services area, and a partial green roof. The market is designed with the latest techniques and systems to conserve energy and water. Therefore, the energy preservation has reached 50% which reaches to 75 kilowatt hour/m² yearly, whereas water preservation has reached up to 20%. In addition to that its composed of an program that separates and recycles trash, a ventilation program for the parking that operates on air extraction program that preserves 30% of energy, usage of latest AC units that preserves 20%, and regarding the ventilation system supplied with fresh air producer units and Co2 control program that conserves 40%. Also, it includes solar panels that produces 45 kilowatt/hour and the latest lighting fixtures (LED) that preserves 46%, and solar water heaters that conserver’s 72% energy. General site work and infrastructure work, landscape work.
